[EN-FR] What is the Odyssey ?

For those who have a blur idea of what is The Odyssey, let us introduce you our Project briefly :

In a Nutshell, The Odyssey is the result of the will of 4 students from different backgrounds (such as Business, engineering or architecture) to question models of development. More precisely we would like to reflect upon the idea of SOCIAL & SUPPORTIVE ENGINEERING (based on the values and principles of the social economy).

But how do we do that concretely ?

there are a million path to explore this idea and the one we choose is in between THEORY and PRACTICE. Indeed, we chose to spend 6 months opening our minds and preparing ourselves to 6 other months that we will spend in India and Nepal between April and August. Our path, on which we'd like you to accompany us, has 3 main steps :

1 - READING & CONSULTING before the trip, to be able to draw a frame for our later observations and build ideas on our questionings.

2 - OBSERVE & GET INVOLVE during the trip, to confront our ideas with the reality of the field.

3- COMMUNICATE & SHARE after the trip to step back and enrich our experience with others.

Pour ceux qui auraient une idée flou de ce que c'est que The Odyssey, voilà une petite explication :

En quelques mots, The Odyssey c'est le résultat de la volonté commune de 4 étudiants avec des profils divers ( École de Commerce, d'ingénieur et d'architecture) de questionner les modèles de développement. Et, plus précisément, de se pencher sur l'idée d' Ingénierie Sociale et Solidaire (à l'image de l'Économie Sociale et Solidaire)

Mais comment tout cela se traduit-il concrêtement ?

Il y a des milliers de manières de réfléchir à cette idée, celle que nous avons choisie mêle théorie et pratique. En effet nous avons décidé de scinder notre projet en deux parties. La première de 6 mois est théorique et vise à nous préparer et nous former à la seconde periode de 6 mois d'exploration pratique que nous allons passer en Inde et au Népal d'avril à août. Notre Project, auquel nous vous invitons à participer, s'articule en 3 étapes principales :

1 - S'INFORMER & DISCUTER avant notre départ, afin de bâtir un cadre intellectuel pour nos observations ulterieures et de se construire des opinions sur nos différents questionnements.

2 - OBSERVER & S'INVESTIR pendant notre séjour, afin de confronter nos idées à la réalité du terrain.

3- COMMUNIQUER & PARTAGER à notre retour, afin de prendre du recul et d'enrichir notre experience en la confrontant à des regards exterieurs.
